While I wanted to love the local Le Ciel, their too-thin, burrito-style 'crepes' just never filled the void I've been left with since my first and only trip to Paris. Over there, I fell in love with a small place called Ulysses on Rue Cler, where a man names Marcos served the folded/ wrap-and-go style crepes both outside the restaurant for bypassers and inside to diners. Last week I found my Marcos, except his name is Majid and we can't let him leave this town (as long as I'm here to eat his crepes!)
My first one, the Avignon, got me hooked. Speechless. Then Herbs de Provence. I'm not one to really properly describe or review food in detail, however I wouldn't disagree with a single detail about these crepes depicted in the Tribune article written August 13th.
One complaint- the business hours. While I understand the chef needs a couple days off... how am I going to get my fix on Sunday mornings?
