Hike and Meditation for Vitality

Every other Wednesday starting March 3rd - May 19th.
Building heat (Tapas) through effort like hiking before meditation is great preparation to help the mind slow its roaming tendencies. Tapas is the practice of putting effort into an activity to create heat and ultimately more vitality. This can be done simply by sitting in a more upright position while meditating, or by doing physical activity like yoga or hiking. Doing tapas before we meditate opens our senses and churns our energies to prepare us for more centered meditation. In this class, we will be practicing tapas with a hike up the hill at the beautiful SLO Botanical Garden before our outdoor meditation practice.
