A Grand Ole Soupabration

Friends of the Elephant Seal will host their annual A Grand Ole Soupabration--Soup, Wine, Authors \& Art, on the spectacular ocean view property at Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria, Ca.
Central Coast chefs and restaurants compete for the best soup awards judged by celebrity chefs, including Top Chef alum, Chef Dakota Weiss; Chef Paul Piscopo, executive chef W San Francisco; Chef Phillip Riccomini, Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy; and Neil Farrell, Bay News Editor. A people's favorite is also awarded.… Show more Boutique wineries offer tastings. Wine Tasting tickets sold at the door for $10 and includes a souvenir wine glass.
We Olive and Chaparral Gardens will offer tastings of their olives, oils and artisan vinegars. House of Bread and Red Moose Cookies will also offer samples of their products.
Celebrated marine environmental author David Helvarg; award winning children's natural science author/illustrator Marianne D. Wallace; and Central Coast mystery author Sue McGinty will discuss and sign copies of their books. Private Author Chat Tables with complimentary wine, cider and cheese \& fruit plate designed by Chef Weiss, $10. Please include this amount to your ticket price to reserve your private table.
Three popular plein air artists will paint on site during the event with the work offered at silent auction.
Music by the Crustacea Jazz Band.
The event includes a unique silent auction and raffles.
Proceeds benefit Friends of the Elephant Seal, a non profit group that provides information about the northern elephant seal at the Piedras Blancas viewing site near San Simeon.
